Designed for the 2014 Olympics, the structure was to serve as a demonstration kiosk for Dow's sustainability initiatives. The design is based on a flower, with each petal containing a different function. During the daytime the pavilion serves as a lounge space while at night it becomes a small performance venue. Each petal also has a different environmental function; petals harvest rainwater, wind and solar energy. The pavilion was designed for deconstruction so that after the Olympics were completed it could be disassembled and rebuilt at the next Olympic's location.
